Funeral For A Friend get set to release one more single before the band release the new album on their own record label ‘Join Us Records’, the single is called ‘Kicking and Screaming’ which will be releasd on the 29th september, two weeks before the album ‘Memory and Humanity, to get a flavour of the single you can watch the video by following this link here.
Roadrunner Records is pleased to announce the signing of DOMMIN, Los Angeles-based goth rock quartet Dommin was discovered by Dirty Icon Productions, a company founded by producer Logan Mader, the former guitarist of longtime Roadrunner band, Machine Head. Led by the enigmatic frontman, guitarist and songwriter Kristofer Dommin, Dommin puts a refreshing spin on the romantic, dark goth sound, bringing a unified voice to the brokenhearted swarm of purposefully melancholic music fans who prefer not only to look at the glass as half-full but as cracked, too. Veteran A&R rep Monte Conner signed the band to the label and was quick to express his excitement, saying, “Dommin comes across as very fresh and unique in today’s landscape. Kristofer Dommin is their secret weapon. His vocals are absolutely compelling, and this is especially evident live where you can feel the power, passion and emotion of every word he sings.” Dommin’s line up is rounded out by keyboardist Konstantine, bassist Billy James and drummer Cameron. Seventies Classic Metal webcaster Rock3 announces NEW shows for the Classic British Metal webcast, Now there is a softer metal/rock playlist for Sundays ” to cater for the cricket and tea brigade” but they go on to say that they will continue their succesful mix of heavy metal and hard rock throughout the rest of the week, all from the early seventies, and rumours of the progressive metal webcast also been simililary updated.
Returning to British shores for the first time since last November, WARLOCKS will be accosting audiences nationwide next month with their morbid combination of sound and sense (see dates below).

Merthyr Tydfil’s The Blackout are one of the fastest rising new bands on the British rock scene. The hotly tipped sextet have exploded out of the UK to circuit to find themselves sharing bill’s with the likes of Lostprophets, Funeral For A Friend, The Used and Gallows. Nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2006 Kerrang Awards, the Valleys outfit have landed themselves a deal on the unfeasibly cool Fierce Panda label, where they released their debut album ‘We Are the Dynamite’ in late 2007. Pennsylvanian quartet INNERPARTYSYSTEM are proud to be the first band ever to have their debut UK single pressed onto a seven-inch single made entirely from dark chocolate and limited to only 100 copies. Featuring their forthcoming single ‘Don’t Stop’, released June 30th, if kept cool enough the record does actually play as the grooves are cut into the chocolate, allowing it to play like a normal, if slightly crackly, vinyl single. We kid you not. It might not sound as good as regular vinyl but it sure tastes better and it’s far easier to swallow.

The A-list US band are midway through a world wide tour, but will be calling back to the UK this week for the Download Festival on Friday 13th, after a night in Wrexham on the 11th and Oxford on the 12th. ‘Boys and Girls’ will be hitting our radios and seducing our ears very soon!
