Roadrunner Records is pleased to announce the signing of  DOMMIN, Los Angeles-based goth rock quartet Dommin was discovered by Dirty Icon Productions, a company founded by producer Logan Mader, the former guitarist of longtime Roadrunner band, Machine Head. Led by the enigmatic frontman, guitarist and songwriter Kristofer Dommin, Dommin puts a refreshing spin on the romantic, dark goth sound, bringing a unified voice to the brokenhearted swarm of purposefully melancholic music fans who prefer not only to look at the glass as half-full but as cracked, too. Veteran A&R rep Monte Conner signed the band to the label and was quick to express his excitement, saying, “Dommin comes across as very fresh and unique in today’s landscape. Kristofer Dommin is their secret weapon. His vocals are absolutely compelling, and this is especially evident live where you can feel the power, passion and emotion of every word he sings.” Dommin’s line up is rounded out by keyboardist Konstantine, bassist Billy James and drummer Cameron. Check out the swell of black-hued, stormy and mysterious rock on the band’s heavily trafficked MySpace page, viewable at:

Returning to British shores for the first time since last November, WARLOCKS will be accosting audiences nationwide next month with their morbid combination of sound and sense (see dates below).

,

With the Warlocks you learn to expect the unexpected. Always shrouded in mystery and dressed in black, this once octet are known for their signature sound and live shows, and have been compared a million times to the Velvet Underground’s exploding plastic inevitable. This works through from the ‘Phoenix EP’ and the albums ‘Rising From The Ashes’ and ‘Destroying & Rebuilding’.

,

Almost at the brink of giving up music completely, leader B.H. found the perfect label to let his art come before song and song come before art. Tee Pee Records (Brian Jonestown Massacre, Witch, Earthless, Entrance), a label know for giving their artists complete creative control, signed the Warlocks with no idea who was in the current line-up and no current band images.

,

The new stripped-down line up took a matter of weeks to record latest record, ‘Heavy Deavy Skull Lover’, which was released last October to critical acclaim.

On Monday 28th July ‘On The Fiddle Records’ will release a brand new single by The Levellers entitled ‘Before The End’ which will be available on 7 inch vinyl and as a download.

,
‘Before The End’ is the closest the Levellers have ever come to writing a love song. With the insistent, pounding drums, Velvet Underground-style violin and shadowy female backing vocals this song oozes charm and has a certain sexiness not usually associated with The Levellers and their anthemic folk-punk songs. Singer, Mark Chadwick, belts out an enormous heartfelt chorus and it becomes apparent why this band have endured twenty years wowing crowds and notching up fourteen Top 40 singles to date.

,

“Before the End” is taken from The Levellers’ forthcoming album “Letters from the Underground” which sees the band return with a contemporary sounding rockier edge. The band’s latest work offers a sound and attitude that will not only please established fans but court a new audience and represent the ideas and opinions of a new generation of musical and political dissidents.

,

The Levellers have always provided the perfect soundtrack to any festival which is why they have been invited to headline so many over the summer followed by a headline tour of the UK later in the year… check out the site for dates.
