you may have seen us mention our friends in Valencia before? Well, they came over to tour the UK with Kids In Glass Houses earlier this month and they have made a lovely tour video you should all go check out. Simply click the pic below… AND for the actual tour photos you will need to go HERE:
Merthyr Tydfil’s The Blackout are one of the fastest rising new bands on the British rock scene. The hotly tipped sextet have exploded out of the UK to circuit to find themselves sharing bill’s with the likes of Lostprophets, Funeral For A Friend, The Used and Gallows. Nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2006 Kerrang Awards, the Valleys outfit have landed themselves a deal on the unfeasibly cool Fierce Panda label, where they released their debut album ‘We Are the Dynamite’ in late 2007. That album became the Fierce Panda’s fastest ever selling release, which for a label that has released records by Coldplay, Keane and Ash is no mean feat. The band has just returned from a tour of American and Europe and are considered by the likes of Kerrang Magazine to be one of the hottest acts around.
,
Currently on a European Tour with Linkin Park , Pontys Big Weekend welcomes these local heroes to the Muni Arts Centre on Saturday 19th July.
The hard hitting Seattle fourpiece, fronted by the legendary Duff McKagan as vocalist and guitarist, are set to tour the UK for the first time….
,
Debut album “Dark Days”, released in 2001, shows a band at the height of their powers. From the “kick in the head” of punked up ballsy album opener “Seattlehead” to the epic and moody “Criminal”, from the grunge swing of “Wrap My Arms” to the introspective “Dark Days”, the album showcases driving and melodic punk infused rock overlaid with McKagan’s unique and powerful vocals.
,
The band are currently in the studio working on material for a new studio album (release date tbc). The sessions are progressing well and they band already have three new tracks ready – “Forgive Me”, “Sick” and “No More”.
,
With Duff McKagan on Vocals and Guitar, the band is completed by Jeff Rouse on Bass, Mike Squires on Guitar and Geoff Reading on Drums.
,
Duff who recently toured with Guns ‘N Roses axeman SLASH’s band ‘Velvet Revolver’ was caught on stage live at the Birmingham Acadamy in all his rampant pomp.. for photos follow this…HERE

Pennsylvanian quartet INNERPARTYSYSTEM are proud to be the first band ever to have their debut UK single pressed onto a seven-inch single made entirely from dark chocolate and limited to only 100 copies. Featuring their forthcoming single ‘Don’t Stop’, released June 30th, if kept cool enough the record does actually play as the grooves are cut into the chocolate, allowing it to play like a normal, if slightly crackly, vinyl single. We kid you not. It might not sound as good as regular vinyl but it sure tastes better and it’s far easier to swallow.
,
INNERPARTYSYSTEM are also confirmed to play the highly-anticipated Projekt Revolution show at Milton Keynes Bowl June 29th. Headlined by Linkin Park, INNERPARTYSYSTEM join Jay-Z, Pendulum, N*E*R*D, Enter Shikari and The Bravery on a bill that threatens to be one of the gigs of the summer.
,
Their first visit to the UK in April for the Camden Crawl immediately caught the attention of music heads and clued-up media leaders in the capitol with the likes of Zane, Daniel P Carter, XFM, Scuzz and Kerrang! all lending their support. The superb Penta directed video, is currently the #1 requested video on Scuzz.
,
Alongside their appearance at Projekt Revolution, the Pennsylvanian quartet are also confirmed to play the following dates including a set at the Wireless Festival, where they will appear on the Tuborg Stage.
,
Check out the band’s tour teaser vid at the following link. That’s some eerie shit!
The band’s utterly infectious debut UK single ‘Don’t Stop’ will be released on 30th June through Fallout Records to be followed by an album in September.

And in 2008 they are embarking on the greatest part of their adventure yet. They have formed their very own record label, the bullishly titled Join Us Records. Funded by Ingenious Music and built on Integral’s (a division of PIAS) formidable infrastructure, this is a move that has energised and excited the Welsh quintet in equal measure.
“We were fortunate to be on a major label for the past five years,” says bassist Gareth Davies, “Now we are in a great position to take the time investment that they have already put into us, and walk away, and start afresh, with a clean slate and with the fanbase already in place. This is a great stepping stone for us.”
,
‘Waterfront Dance Club’ and ‘Beneath The Burning Tree’ will be Funeral For A Friend’s fans’ first chance to hear the newly invigorated band’s current sound. Drawing fire from the muscular intensity of their earlier material and melding it seamlessly to the melodic intelligence of latter albums ‘Hours’ and ‘Tales Don’t Tell Themselves’, this new material shows the band to be as incisively relevant as ever. ‘Waterfront Dance Club’ will be available as a free download from July 14 and both tracks will grace a limited edition 7” from the same date.,
Now with their own hands at the tiller, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND look destined to add another scintillating chapter to their incredible story.

,
INNERPARTYSYSTEM is four guys who were reared in the bleak small towns that surround Reading, Pennsylvania. The weathered houses, rusted factories and sprawling farms make this the landscape of true America. These environments are stark and mechanical, and they are pregnant with dark and anxious hope – sentiments that Patrick Nissley, INNERPARTYSYSTEM’s main songwriter, carries in his writing. INNERPARTYSYSTEM have a distinctive vision, as their songs incorporate throbbing electronic beats that nod towards Autechre, Chemical Brothers and Squarepusher but they are equally a rock band whom, like Nine Inch Nails, Pendulum and Prodigy, aren’t afraid to mix styles and mess with the formula.

Avenged Sevenfold will issue the single ‘Dear God’ with ‘A Little Piece of Heaven’ as a limited edition single on July 7th to coincide with this summer’s festival dates and Twickenham Stadium show as support to Iron Maiden.
,
Available as a limited edition CD single and on digital download formats, ‘Dear God’ (video) adds a dark country tinge to the band’s patented attack. The CD also features an alternate version of album favourite ‘Afterlife’ that’s also included on the iTunes DMD along with ‘Crossroads’. The 7 Digital DMD will feature ‘Dear God’ supplemented by a live track (title TBC) and the single will also be available as a one-track DMD.
,
Avenged Sevenfold are appearing as special guests of Iron Maiden at many of their shows across mainland Europe and Scandinavia this summer. The sole UK date is at Twickenham Stadium on July 5th. The band will return to these shores to play on the main stage at the Leeds and Reading festivals on August 22nd and 24th respectively, where Metallica headline a bill that also includes Slipknot and Tenacious D.
,
Produced by the band with Andy Wallace (System of a Down, Linkin Park) on mixing duties, Avenged Sevenfold’s current self-titled album continues their burgeoning reputation as one of the most exciting bands on the contemporary metal scene. The result is an uncompromising collection laden with heavy riffage, fluid leads, battering rhythms and insistent hooks. Highlights of the set include the first single ‘Almost Easy’ and the vehement opening track ‘Critical Acclaim’ as well as ‘Dear God’.

“It rocks” – Classic Rock
“Some of the most intelligent, heart-in-mouth metal around… A great album” – NME
Could it be possible to release a track with the same addiction as ‘Lips Like Morphine’? The Kill Hannah track was high on the play lists of XFM and Kerrang! Radio, and made a major impact on the download charts. It would seem Kill Hannah have done it again as they prepare to release their next single from their ‘Until There’s Nothing Left Of Us’ album. All of us here at Rock3Music.com are loving this band and ‘Boys And Girls’ does not disappoint us. It is a compulsive rocking dance piece with the trade mark tones of the vocals and a video that screams at you to get up and shake your perfectly sculptured bonce. It is a tune which will have you bouncing about wherever you are every time you hear it. It was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge and produced by Sean Beavan – with top names like that the single will sell itself! The video was featured on MySpace as an exclusive – click the link below to indulge.

The A-list US band are midway through a world wide tour, but will be calling back to the UK this week for the Download Festival on Friday 13th, after a night in Wrexham on the 11th and Oxford on the 12th. ‘Boys and Girls’ will be hitting our radios and seducing our ears very soon!
Aussie rockers Airbourne fly into the UK mainland from their Jersey hideout to give the fans a full on treat at Donnington’s Download this weekend and have already organised to come back for a month long tour in november the length and breadth of the uk. When they toured the UK in February this year they found time to give an interview which was recorded and can be found HERE, where brothers Ryan and Joel give candid answers to some interesting questions and it seems that sex, drugs and rock n roll still go hand in hand.
The ‘Metalbox’ webcast station part of the ROCK3 radio station network which has been playing the cream of British Rock has added the STONE GODS to the playlist.
THE NASS FESTIVAL WHICH STARTS THIS FRIDAY 13th!! is not only the best value in weekend festivals but actually is one of the few festivals that has true participation and will be a real buzz for you!!
,
Relentless NASS returns for its tenth consecutive year on June 13th-15th 2008 for three days of action sports and live music at the Royal Bath and West Showground in Somerset. The highly charged festival has seen crowds in excess of 15,000 attending to take in not only a premier music and sports line-up, but also an extensive trade and adrenaline village, paintball arena and climbing area. Traders selling everything from clothing to action sports equipment are set to make this year’s festival the definitive destination for any action sports and music enthusiast.
,
This year’s Relentless NASS marks a return to form with the festival promising fans more action sports than ever seen before, including everything from skate to FMX. The Vans European skate team will be making a welcome first appearance to the festival bringing with them local heroes and top international names. Tony Hawk protégé Jean Postec will be stepping up to try and level with his mentor by completing the near impossible fakie-to-fakie 900. The King Ramps vert ramp will also be graced by some of the best riders on the US circuit taking time out from the world renowned Action Sports Dew Tour.
,
Relentless NASS will also be delivering a top-end BMX course. Some of the world’s most notorious riders including UK heavyweights, Mark Webb and Dew Tour 07 victor Daniel Dhers, will be battling it out to try and take home some of the total event prize purse of over $80,000.
,
FMX fans will not be disappointed at this year’s Relentless NASS, UK legends Gary Taylor, Danny Veale and the Relentless UK FMX team will be taking the helm ensuring that this year’s course and prize fund will be the most competitive to date.
,
Alongside some top ranking action sports, Relentless NASS will feature an impressive music bill boasting 35 internationally renowned acts across two live stages and the Relentless Bar. Friday night’s main stage which is sponsored by Rock Sound magazine, will play host to a live set from Pendulum. The drum and bass collective hailing from Perth, Australia have been in heavy rotation on the dance and commercial circuit for the past five years, reaching critical acclaim with their debut album ‘Hold Your Colour’ in 2007. Pendulum will be supported by newcomers Late of the Pier.
The four-piece are no strangers to the likes of NME, MTV2 and Channel 4’s cult show Skins. The band are taking new rave into a second season, ditching the glow sticks and reaching for the synthesizers to create heavy electro inspired indie with nods to everyone from The Cure to Klaxons. Friday will also feature Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Metronomy, Ghost Frequency, Devils Gun and We Smoke Fags.
,
Saturday night will welcome some of the best names in rock and punk with headliners Less Than Jake and The Subways setting the standard with another very special band that is yet to be announced! Less Than Jake, the ska-punk five-piece veterans have been a household name on the skate and BMX scene for over 15 years spreading their sun-soaked Floridian sound worldwide, filling up stadiums, skate parks and just about every skate movie you can think of. Their headline show at NASS 08 will be their only UK date this summer and is set to be a welcome return after 6 consecutive sell-out shows in London last year. Saturday’s stage will also feature music from Elliot Minor, Beat Union, In Case of Fire, Skirtbox, *Shels and Lioness.
,
Relentless NASS’s music bill also includes two days of renowned drum and bass and electro in the Indoor Arena. A 3am late license has paved the way for some big name DJ’s including Eddy Temple Morris, Micky Slim, Adam F and Subfocus. The final facet of the music-based entertainment comes in the form of the Relentless Bar – hosted by Streetwise Music. With DJs all day and a few acoustic sets from bands, this bar will be rounding off musical proceedings perfectly.

,
Tickets are £24.50/day and £59.50/weekend on sale now from www.nassfest.com and locally from Shepton Mallet Tourist Information centre and Bristol Ticket Shop.

An entirely tougher, edgier and heavier beast than their former band, the arrival of Stone Gods represents a scintillating new day for British rock music. Fronted by Richie Edwards, whose powerful voice resonates with four decades of classic rock gusto, and with Dan Hawkins assuming lead guitar duties, former Graham Coxon alumnus Toby MacFarlaine on bass guitar and Ed Grahar hammering the skins, these road-ravaged pros have spent the last year slaving away over hot guitars, carefully crafting the song that will comprise their forthcoming debut album titled “Silver spoons and broken bones”. A dazzling and diverse mixture of crunching heavy metal anthems, irresistible radio-rock and sumptuous, ballsy ballads; it’s a glorious celebration of everything tha makes loud, blaring rock ‘n’ roll so reliably exhilarating.
,
When the rollercoaster ride that was The Darkness came to an abrupt and messy end with the departure of Justin Hawkins, the remaining members of the band were staring premature retirement in the face. But when rock n roll courses through your veins, surrender is never an option, and so less than an hour after their erstwhile singer jumped ship, plans were already afoot to get ti’ show back on the road.
,
‘The whole thing had fallen apart,” says former bassist and Stone Gods’ singer/guitarist Richie Edwards. “I got the phone call fro Justin and I thought ‘that’s it’, but half an hour later Dan rang me and said, ‘Rich, do you fancy doing a bit of singing?’ We got together and started writing and it’s snowballed from there.”
,
“If your favounte song of all time was ‘Friday Night’ then you’ll hear ‘Burn The Witch’ and you probably won’t like it,” states Dan. “But that’s cool. In a way, that’s exactly what we want! We don’t want people shouting for Darkness songs.”
,
The aforementioned ‘Burn The Witch’ was the titular track from the band’s debut EP - a four track extravaganza that sold out it’s 2000 print run in a flash, and demonstrated just how exciting a proposition The Stonegods truly are.
,
Phase two kick off with an iTunes exclusive single release “Knight of the living dead”, due out May 25°’, accompanied by an intimate club headlining tour. Following festival appearances at Download and The Isle of Wight the debut album (Recorded at C Hawkins’ own studio and engineered/co-produced with Dan by Nick Brine and mixed by the highly respected Mike Fraser) will follow on July 7th 2008.
,
“I just can’t fuckin’ wait to get out there and play these songs to people!” enthuses Richie. “We’re all very confident,” adds Dan. “We’ve taken control of our ambitions and no one’s power hungry or fame mad. We won’t repeat any mistakes from the past. We’ve got a really punk rock attitude. I don’t have to play the game anymore. I’m not in a pop band. I don’t want to be a celebrity I’m not interested in any of that shit. I’m just so happy to be in this band. The music is the only thing that matters.”

After generating great reviews and building an even bigger fan base around the world, 2007 proved to be a major step forward for Rose Hill Drive. They were honoured to play with some of their biggest idols. The boys did a string of dates opening for The Who in 2007 and they were even joined on stage in Chicago by none other than Pete Townshend, who jammed on The Who classic “Young Man Blues” and Rose Hill Drive’s very own “Raise Your Hands.” Then, Rolling Stone named them “One of the Top 10 Artists to Watch” in 2007.
,
After months of relentless touring, hard work and travel around the Universe, Rose Hill Drive returned home to Boulder, CO to write and record their second album, Moon is the new Earth. The new album represents the intense “live” feeling of their show and showcases some the band’s finest songwriting. 12 songs run the gamut of emotions from the head-spinning “Sneak Out” to the muscle-bound “Trans Am” to the tongue-in-cheek “Do You Wanna Get High?” It’s an album that is shaped by an organic nature and is a clear record of their maturity, life experiences and musical explorations. Moon is the new Earth unveils the sound that is Rose Hill Drive.
‘
Rose Hill Drive’s raw, emotive rock has earned the group high praises from both critics and fellow musicians alike. The band have done dates with Wilco, The Black Crowes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Van Halen, Aerosmith and The Who; and also performed at Bonnaroo, Red Rocks, Bumpershoot, Austin City Limits, Azkena Festival, Hyde Park Calling and the Warped Tour.
,
“Recorded in our hometown in our favourite studio with our favourite people, this music bears our most authentic signature of anything we have created so far. To have made an album like this with my brother and my best friend has been a dream come true,” says Jake.
