GOD DETHRONED announce a change of drummers. Speaks mainman Henri Sattler: “A little while ago our long time drummer Arien van Weesenbeek announced he would join the ranks of Dutch gothic metal rockers Epica, leaving us no other choice than to let him go. We do understand his career move and we wish him all the best of luck for the future. We will play a farewell show with Arien on March 28th at the Mezz club in Breda, Holland. At the same time we are happy to announce the return of Roel Sanders, our drummer on the ‘The Grand Grimoire’ and ‘Bloody Blasphemy’ albums! Roel left GOD DETHRONED in the summer of 2000, but this time he’s back to stay with us till the end. Some of you may also know him as the drummer for Inhume (and don’t worry, he will continue with that band, too). Soon we will start the writing process of a new album with the working title “Passiondale”. An epic tale about World War I. Musically the new album will be a mix between ‘Bloody Blasphemy’ and ‘Lair of the White Worm’, so better buckle up fellas! Also a bunch of new shows and festivals are in the works.”goddethroned.com <http://www.goddethroned.com/> <http://www.goddethroned.com/> <http://www.goddethroned.com/> | <http://www.myspace.com/villavampiria> myspace.com/villavampiria <http://www.myspace.com/villavampiria>

The Berlin, Germany collective THE OCEAN is recruiting new musicians! ”We are looking for a long-term live cello player for upcoming tours in Europe and the US and possible future recording sessions.
What we’re looking for is a skilled musician with good intonation; someone who can read sheet music and has classical training but also the rock / metal background and understanding that is inevitable in order to enjoy long tours and life on the road - ideally, someone who can play both cello and viola and switch between these instruments.
As much as we love acoustic instruments, our past experiences have taught us that in a live environment the only thing that works is an E-cello. If you’re interested or know anyone who might be, please write an email to info@theoceancollective.com

A Life Once Lost - ‘Iron Gag’ is out now through Ferret Music
The follow-up to the band’s 2005 release “Hunter”, “IRON GAG” delivers a massive wallop of scorched-out, supercharged rock. Supremely well-paced, the release exhibits the sound of a band injecting a brazen swagger into its wide musical palette. The music dovetails its blend of raw-power metal and fuzz-tripping rock, combining each in various permutations: the rock coming to the forefront in the songs ‘Firewater Joyride’ and the crunching ‘Detest’; the more deliberate side of the band emerging in the bruising ‘Worship’ and the snide, slow-boil of ‘THE WANDERER’. Like a shark, this band can only go forwards and the deeper reaches of “IRON GAG” are very clearly the sound ofA LIFE ONCE LOST finding new waters in which to hunt.
Known for flattening clubs with its firepower, ALOL have captured the intensity of its live show on this release, the ever-mutating quintet merging continued artistic growth with an intense, wizened roar. The album was self-produced by the band and mastered at West West Side Music by the venerable Alan Douches.

Announces Debut Video for “A Dangerous Man”
Upcoming album “Introducing” out January 21st on New Weathermen / Ferret!
Watch the new video for “A Dangerous Man” HERE!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqK1dE0FWo0
From Ray Charles to Axl Rose, Little Richard to Jerry Lee Lewis, the piano and pianist have been driving forces fueling some of the most monstrous musical movements ever put to audience’s ears. And most often, especially when performed live, these moments of powerful and sometimes flamboyant epics, melt minds and faces for decades, and even centuries, to come.
Enter, Foxy Shazam.
Taking their queue from contemporaries like At the Drive-In, Gogol Bordello, Man Man, and others in the modern piano-driven punk era, FOXY SHAZAM construct a formula of chaotic and disjointed, convulsive punk rock, complete w/ apocalyptic lyrics and doom-ridden instrumentation, seemingly rising and intoxicating like vapors from a cryptic, acid-laden party in hell. Imagine the soundtrack to a bad trip featuring demon-gnomes encircling and bouncing about, eyes bulging like that creature on the plane in Stephen King’s Twilight Zone. Freaky shit!
But Foxy Shazam just want to have fun. Their current US tour w/ label-mates Heavy Heavy Low Low and guests Tera Melos, sees the band touring the length of the country, calling to action the kids who want to disrupt normal routine and lash out against daily false-reality. Stage dive, start a pit, and don’t worry about making sense. We’re just here to party.
More about Foxy Shazam:
The self-proclaimed “Evel Knievel of Rock N Roll,” Foxy Shazam is here to make a musical death defying stunt with their New Weathermen debutIntroducing, to be released in January of 2008. The album, recorded with producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Heavy Heavy Low Low) takes their piano propelled songs that layer spastic hardcore noise atop fractured Soul inspired pop to a new level, one that emphasizes - well - good times, tells vocalist Eric Nally. “The whole point of the album is to be a feel-good dance party. We stepped up our game while throwing our whole selves and personality quirks in it, making the album very centered and focused on our development.” The songs are varied, and there are a few head scratchers thrown in the mix, tells Nally. “One song, Dangerous Man, is meant for the soundtrack of a Robin Hood film. Another song, Red Cape Diver, is about a bull fighter who is telling his family that he loves them before he goes off to work. But most of the songs are just about having a good time.” The first single off of their record, and one of the biggest party-starters, Yes Yes Yes! is making its debut on Myspace this month.
Foxy Shazam has been taking their party mobile since their formation in 2004. The quintet from Cincinnati, OH, which consists of Nally, Loren Turner (guitar), Daisy (bass), Sky White (piano), and Joe Halberstadt (drums) are currently out on tour with Heavy Heavy Low Low and Tera Melos, and have booked their own tours in the past with Tub Ring, Look What I Did, and others. Speaking on their direction, Turner admits “we decided early on not to hold back on any kind of sound as long as it sounds good, we will use it.” The result is a divergent sound that doesn’t fit comfortably in any one genre but reaches across many. “We’ve always gone over well with our live shows whether playing to a bar full of old guys or a VFW hall full of hardcore kids we also draw a positive reaction.” Through this intense live show experience, the band has drawn a fanbase in many national markets. While their shows tend to get a little wild, for example the band playing to reckless abandon including White playing the piano with a severed deer hoof and Nally putting out a lit cigarette on his cheek, the emphasis is on the visible, soulful nature of the music. “We tend to be really theatrical because we are so passionate about the music. It really moves us, and we don’t need props to show it.”
The band released their debut album The Flamingo Trigger (2005), and then went on to tour exhaustively, performing over two hundred shows within a span of eighteen months. The word of mouth about the band began to spread catching the attention of many, including The Number Twelve Looks Like You’s front man and band manager, Jesse Korman. Foxy Shazam was then quickly introduced by Jesse to Nick Storch of New Weathermen Records. Storch recalls “He (Korman) told me I had to check them out and at first I had no idea what was going on in their music and put it aside. A few weeks later I put their demos back in with a fresh mind and it clicked right away, these guys are chaotic but there’s also a real pop sensibility that doesn’t usually occur with bands this far out.” Foxy Shazam is the second artist to be signed to the label in partnership with Ferret Music. The band will be heading out on a full US tour with Heavy Heavy Low Low and Tera Melos in November so keep checking Ferretstyle.com for details.
“Introducing” Tracklist:
1. Introducing Foxy
2. The Rocketeer
3. A Dangerous Man
4. The Science Of Love
5. A Black Man’s Breakfast
6. It’s Hair Smelled Like Bonfire

Cage The Elephant are a 5 piece from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Already hailed as ‘Ones to Watch’ by Clash magazine and NME, the band have been likened to rock legends such as Rage Against The Machine and Led Zeppelin.
Onstage fights and broken amps being hurled into the audience are just some of the elements likely to occur at a Cage The Elephant show. Most importantly, the staple of all of their live performances is brilliant rock ‘n’ roll music.
They bring their raucous live show back to the UK on 8th Feb when they support Nine Black Alps at the NME show in Camden’s Koko.
They release their first proper single, “In One Ear“,
on 10th March. Sonically & lyrically it’s a massive statement of intent and shows that Cage don’t just want to rock hard, they also want to make people dance.

GraceJan 28 – The Fly, London WC1A /
Feb 22 – Langtons, Newport /
Feb 23 – Bar 9, Aberystwyth
Grace Solero are four individuals from Italy, New Zealand, America and Mexico respectively. Taking their own unique paths in life, this group of musicians have established London as their place of a frenzied creative thinking. Those frenzied and diverse musical influences and ideas were soon honed into the debut album ‘New Moon’ last year. The band are regulars on the London live circuit and recent gigs include the Garage, Metro, Dingwalls and 12 Bar Club.
The demo version of their song, ‘If U Feel’, was playlisted by Bob Harris on BBC6. You can see the video here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=irTQ4cikPEA
Crashing guitar riffs and frenetic drum patterns combine to underpin Grace’s masterful and majestic soaring vocals. Rock press and radio acclaim soon followed in 2007 culminating in the bands raucous album release party in central London last year.
“Bittersweet, Jeff Buckley-esque”
Time Out London
“Gets under your skin and refuses to leave you”
Uk Music Search
“…tunesmithery that shies away from the ordinary, it’s nothing short of stunning”
Alternative Magazine
“Great guitar driven rock with an equally great female voice”
Martin Hudson, Classic Rock Society
“…soulful vocals from Grace contribute to the splendour of an album which has more than one dimension”
The Music Magazine
“Instantly arresting belting vocal”
Bubblegum Slut
Post album release has seen the band ride on the crest of a wave within the music industry as promoters, editors and producers all pursue the band for appearance and interviews. Appearances at In The City and on numerous radio shows have seen the band establish a fast building fan base. A cover shoot for an Italian magazine was arranged as soon as the media in Grace’s native country picked up that her band were now being regarded as one of the emerging must see bands in the UK.
From Jeff Buckley and Patti Smith to Skunk Anansie, comparisons ringing in their ears, Grace Solero represent a glorious musical collision of influences, backgrounds and sounds and delivered with memorable pop hooks and vocals to die for. 2007 was the breakthrough year for Grace Solero, 2008 should see the band fulfill the early promise to establish themselves as one of the UK’s brightest stars.

YOUNG HEART ATTACK
Young Heart Attack formed in the early years of the 21st century, and not long after signed to the British label XL Recordings. There were many early triumphs–pre-album singles released on the REX imprint, airplay on the BBC, and performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals. Their first album (”Mouthful of Love”/album of the week in NME) yielded the singles “Starlite,” “Over and Over,” and “Tommy Shots,” the latter rising to the number two spot on the British rock charts (just behind Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Despite such promising early success, XL chose not to extend the group’s contract after one album. Their XL years included opening for Motorhead, The Darkness, Jet, The MC5 and Peaches. Though the band had built a strong following in the UK and Australia, internal strife drove YHA into a malaise of inactivity tantamount to disbanding.
In the summer of 2006, former keyboardist Pauly Deathwish started meeting with lead singer Chris Hodge to write songs “for fun.” In the haze of these druggy sessions, songs such as “Jump Into The Picture” and “Good Love” started to materialize. Lead singer Jennifer Stephens was brought into the writing process for the first time, penning a major portion of “Hell On Earth.” Superstar producer and lead guitarist Frenchie Smith wrote a juggernaut-of-a-song in “Munki.” As the record came together over a year’s time, with Smith in the producer’s chair, even new drummer Jayson Altman contributed co-authorship to “Drums of Revolution.”
The band started gigging again with its new rhythm section (Deathwish having become the bass player). A deal has been signed with UK label Not On Your Radio. The Young Heart Attack resurgence, against strong odds, is becoming a smashing reality. A record release date for the UK of their new album “Rock and Awe” is set for spring ‘08. The forthcoming opus features masterful guest-drumming on two tracks courtesy of Blondie’s Clem Burke, and crystal-clear mixes by Robbie Adams (U2, Smashing Pumpkins). YHA makes their return to Britain in late March/early April, followed by a whirlwind tour of Spain.
YHA has matured and found an inner voice from which is dictated slower tempos, confidence, and unabashed soaring melodies. The most fascinating aspect of the band’s reemergence might best be summed up with a Zombies lyric. As Colin Blunstone sang, “This will be our year–took a long time to come.” Young Heart Attack’s album “Rock and Awe” is a true specimen of a band living the DIY-dream.
The follow up to 2004’s Mouthful of Love will be released in the UK on 17th March 2008, you can check out the title track on our myspace ( www.myspace.com/notonyourradio) right now. The band will then head over for an extensive UK tour following a launch show at SXSW.
4FT FINGERS
Formed in Cheltenham in 1996, the band went through several line-up as well as name changes before they finally settled on 4ft Fingers. Having mainly played locally for a couple of years, Rob, Tom, Dougie and Dave met manager Darren in late 1999 and things began to happen. The band started to gig relentlessly, playing anywhere they possibly could. In 2001 the quartet recorded their debut album At Your Convenience with Martin Nicholls at Whitehouse Studios, which was released on Jamdown Records. This was followed by a year of non-stop touring (140 gigs in 2001), earning the band the reputation as one of the hardest working UK bands, which brought them to the attention of several record companies. In early 2002 4ft Fingers signed to Golf Records, home to the likes of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Snuff and many more at the time.
The second album From Hero To Zero, recorded with Dave Chang at Philia Studios, was released on Golf in September 2002 and supported by an impressive advertising campaign and a full 40-date co-headline UK tour under the title Golfing On The Moon (2002).
2003 had seen the band embark on a massive 47-date headline UK tour under the banner From Hero To Zero which was followed by tour dates with Dead Kennedys and The Damned.
Summer 2003 saw the band writing and pre-viewing new material which was set to see the light of day in May 2004. In the meantime 4ft Fingers had toured Europe in September 2003, after which a third video had been added to Scuzz TV, which was set to coincide with a UK headline tour in October. After this the band were invited to tour with the Voodoo Glow Skulls and Skindred on a 6-week European tour in November/December.
The bands third full-length, A Cause For Concern, was recorded in early 2004 with Pete Brown at Philia Studios and was released to coincide with a UK and European headline tour in April and May. This was followed by the Fingers FIRST TOUR OF THE US IN THE SUMMER, coinciding with the American release of their new album on Go-Kart Records. During the last three months of the year, the band was back gigging in the UK, playing another headline tour in October/November, followed by a number of shows with punk rock legends The Damned.
The band had four videos on Scuzz TV (Sky Digital channel 471) and P-Rock TV: Last Man Standing, Brickwall, Emergency Manoeuvre and 40 Years Of Misery. All these made it into the channels Top 5.
Dougie left at the end of 2004. and was replaced by Ben from Bristol on bass. They still played one off shows but decided to give fulltime touring a break. Towards the end of 2006 Tom decided to call it a day and a month or two later, Ben had to leave for a new Job and his band back in Bristol, Rob and Dave however did not want to call it a day. Tom finished the year of shows booked and after nearly 2 years out of the band, Dougie rejoined along with new guitarist JON (formally of gash).Bringing the band bang upto date and back with Darren as manager,4ft fingers are set to return to give the uk scene a good kick up the ass…and get back to basics where it matters…the music!! not the scenesters or hairdos!! The band have just finished recording their new album “New Beginings of old stories” 12 brand new punk rock explosive tunes……To coincide with the release, the band will be doing a massive promotional campaign to let everyone know they are back for business with a uk tour kicking off 28th feb - 27th April !! with european and festival dates to follow ! Watch this space…… http://www.myspace.com/4ftfingers
The band’s 4th album “The Beginnings Of Old Stories” is available from www.notonyourradio.com/shop from the 7th April. If you pre-order your copy before the mammoth tour kicks off, you’ll get yourself a signed copy!

Roadrunner Records are thrilled to announce the signing of Chicago alt rockers KILL HANNAH.
Easily described as the bridge between The Killers, The Bravery, The Cure, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, their sound is at once familiar and refreshingly original, showing undeniable growth by taking chances in a world where most art is being played safe.
Despite having no previous TV or radio play in the UK yet, the band have already headlined and sold out shows exceeding 1000 capacity on their recent tours here. You might also have caught them last year at the Give It A Name festival, or more recently as main support for the sold out UK tour with Finnish sensation HIM.
“They may have a sexually ambiguous nature like me. They may sing in a high nasal voice like me. But unlike me, they are the future of Chicago rock.”
Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins
“We hope you grow to love them as much as we do.”
Mikey Way, My Chemical Romance
Kill Hannah will return to the UK as main support to Aiden on the following dates:
March 28 – Portsmouth Pyramid Centre
March 29 – Cardiff Solus
March 30 – Bristol Academy
March 31 – Dublin Spirit 57
April 1 – Glasgow Garage
April 2 – Manchester Academy 2
April 3 – Oxford Academy
April 4 – Norwich UEA
April 5 – Nottingham Rock City
April 7 – Birmingham Academy 2
April 8 – Leeds Cockpit
April 9 - London Astoria
April 10 – Brighton Concorde 2
In the USA, Kill Hannah have toured with Jared Leto’s 30 Seconds To Mars, Lostprophets, Angels and Airwaves, HIM and more diverse acts as Velvet Revolver and Alice In Chains, to name but a few. Constant touring - over 250 shows in the last 18 months alone - has built Kill Hannah a dedicated fanbase. The band have amassed over 200,000 friends on MySpace (and over 11 million plays) and fans have set up their own street team and fan club, called the Kill Hannah Kollective (KHK). The KHK has active branches in almost every major city across the USA, and now in nearly every major country as well.
First single Lips Like Morphine is due for release on March 17. The accompanying video has received over 1.5 million plays on YouTube to date. The band’s first album release in the UK and Japan will be Until There’s Nothing Left Of Us with added songs from their first U.S. release For Never & Ever, plus new unreleased tracks.

The unexpected and tragic death of Darren “Wiz” Brown on 6th Dec 2006 was a shock to many people. He was a greatly respected and extraordinary musician and writer who touched the lives of many through his work with MEGA CITY FOUR, DOUGHBOYS, SERPICO and most recently IPANEMA.
UK label Boss Tuneage had been releasing records by Wiz’s bands over the previous six years and had built up not only a great working relationship but also a great friendship with IPANEMA.
The question was – how best to honour Wiz? The only answer could be through his music.
So throughout 2007 Boss Tuneage has been working with Wiz’s partner Karina and his IPANEMA band mates Lawrence and Rauf on a self-titled IPANEMA CD. Gathering up the newly demo’d tracks for Ipanema’s envisaged album, the boys once again returned to the recording studio to complete the Ipanema story, the way Wiz wanted to start it.
The result is a magnificent 17 track CD, containing these 9 unreleased recordings plus the out of print “Baseball Bat/Skull” 7” from 2003 and the “Me Me Me” mini album from 2005. Everything that IPANEMA recorded.
All monies raised by the sale of this CD are being donated by Boss Tuneage directly to the Forward 4 Wiz Trust. The Forward 4 Wiz Trust is a charity set up by Wiz’s partner Karina Fraser. Drawing on the inspiration he gave to others through his music and his humanitarian, compassionate and creative outlook on life and his work, F4WT intends to help out talented bands and musicians with advice and some small financial assistance for all the little, and some bigger, things that often get ignored. Creativity matters. Inspiration matters. Music matters. More information on the trust can be found at www.myspace.com/f4wt
In order to raise as much money as possible for the Trust, the CD is only available via mailorder, and is set for release on January 18th 2008 – which is Wiz’s birthday.
The CD can be purchased through the Boss Tuneage website – www.bosstuneage.com for £10 Postpaid (UK), £11 postpaid (Europe) and £11.50 postpaid (Rest of the world) or by post in the UK by sending name , address and a cheque or postal order to Boss Tuneage, PO Box 74, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 2WB.
In Germany the CD is also available courtesy of Boss Tuneage Germany/Rookie Records exclusively through Flight 13 mailorder– www.flight13.de
In France the CD is available through Dumb Inc – www.dumb-inc.tk
And in Japan the CD is available through Waterslide Records/Boss Tuneage Tokyo – www.watersliderecords.com
