2008 sees a new line-up for Cambridge based The Pretty Young Things, a new
album and an even wilder stage show:
TPYT are taking some time out from recording their latest album - which is
due in the shops Spring 2008 - to debut two new band members at The Cock
Inn In Dereham, Norfolk, UK on the 14th February as they fine-tune for
their upcoming UK & USA tour.
It’s the sheer force, aggression and the passion they inject into their
music and stage shows that makes The Pretty Young Things stand out from
most of the bands around. You’ve got Nathan (Nate) Sage, the drummer, who
pummels his assortment of toms, snare and cymbals like Mike Tyson in a
rage, Sean Couick, their new guitarist, whose ear-bleeding solos lead you
to think that he rehearses with razor-wire for strings, Dave Berry, the
other new boy, a bassist whose hands never cease moving up and down the
fret board for more than a couple of notes at a time, and of course the
man himself, Sam Baker, a singer whose main hobby in between singing and
ad-libbing lines is covering himself in whatever happens to be lying
around, be it flourescent paint, other peoples drinks or whipped cream,
and hurling himself towards solid objects such as floors, walls etc.
It’s not just another stage show; It’s THE PRETTY YOUNG THINGS.
music kicks off at 8pm and The Pretty Young Things will be on stage
sometime after 9pm.
