Sheffield’s finest metal types BRING ME THE HORIZON are have just left Sweden recording their eagerly anticipated, as yet untitled, second full length album. They recorded with ace producer Frederik Nordstrom (Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir) at Studio Fredman. From what Visible Noise has heard so far, it’s going to be an absolutely killer follow up to 2006’s Count Your Blessings. The 2^nd album is expected for the 22^nd September, so start saving up your pocket money for that. Expect instores, a UK tour and much much more around release.

Due to a massive response from Ozzy fans last year, BMTH head off to sunny AUSTRALIA for a massive tour with friends I Killed The Prom Queen in May/June. Formed in 2004, By Blood Alone proudly sound like no one else in their hometown, and few elsewhere. By virtue of association, they might be compared to the likes of

Finland’s operatic Nightwish or

Florida’s decidedly progressive Kamelot, and though that is certainly good company to be in, such comparisons are somewhat inaccurate. The songs on By Blood Alone’s CD ‘Seas of Blood’ possess a cinematic quality, brought to life by keyboard tones that bring to mind classic horror and 50’s science fiction films that sit alongside crucial sections of dramatic orchestration. At any given moment you are as likely to hear a solitary piano delicately underscoring vocalist Cruella’s quiet whispers as you are a relentless guitar/bass/drums gallop of bone-crunching verses propelling her wail of contempt. ‘3′ is the cracking new single from Grimsby’s finest, The Brightlights. Produced by Steve Power - best known for producing all of Robbie Williams’ (good) albums - it’s full of teenage angst and emotion whose subject matter is girls who take advantage of any and every situation in a relationship (you know who you are). Intricately driven licks and heart rendering drums highlight singer Leon Blanchard’s startlingly magnetic voice that sounds like a sonic marriage between Kelly Jones and Caleb Followill. The single also features ‘Another Night’, a rousing anthem detailing that age old dilemma - mates versus girlfriend and the consequences of both - that twists and turns and builds to an emotionally driven climax.

The Brightlights spent most of last year on the road gigging and despite having to juggle time off the road with studying for exams, still managed to notch up an impressive 200 plus shows, including an appearance at the V Festival and support slots with The Hoosiers, Scouting For Girls and The Rascals. Their limited edition debut single, ‘Inspired By’ was released last November and met with much critical acclaim, selling out within a matter of days.

The band met when they formed the midfield of a successful local youth football team. Indeed it was only a serious injury that stopped singer Leon going on to turn professional, such was his talent on the pitch. Luckily for him, and us, Leon is also blessed with a great voice.

The first LAMB OF GOD release on Roadrunner will be an all-new, 2-DVD set on June 30, 2008.

The Walk With Me In Hell 2-DVD set features over five hours of incredible, all-access footage. Disc 1 contains the highly anticipated feature documentary Walk With Me In Hell and multiple live performance extras from across the globe on the Sacrament World Tour. The documentary chronicles every detail in the lives of Lamb of God as they completed recording and toured around the world nearly three times over in support of the highly praised 2006 album Sacrament. Disc 2 includes an additional full-length Making of Sacrament feature plus LAMB OF GOD’s entire, uncut, brutal performance at the Download Festival 2007, where they performed in front of over 72,000 fans. Extras include deleted scenes, live performance videos for various tour stops, the official music video for Redneck, and a Making of Redneck documentary.
