“The punked-up folk sound is as bristly as ever….. ‘Burn America Burn’ is a brilliant slice of fiery pop reminiscent of late Clash” - Classic Rock 9/10
,
Brighton based folk-punk band, the Levellers, are set to release ‘Letters from the Underground’ - their most politically resonant album in a decade – on Monday 11th August and have just announced the dates for their UK tour.
,
Musically and lyrically the album conveys a passion, energy and conviction that shot the band to fame in their early years. ‘Letters from the Underground’ was recorded in the Levellers own Metway studios in Brighton and is being released on their own label – On the Fiddle.
As Detroit punk four piece HiFi Handgrenades were putting the finished touches to their debut album down in the Foo Fighter owned 606 Studio in walks none other than Dave Grohl. Immediately blown away by the band they were whisked across the US, Canada & Japan on tour with the Foo Figthers. Their debut album ‘Carry On’ is 10 tracks of an honest, no-frills band echoing the melodic sound of the Descendents and Dagnasty, combined with the attitude of mid-western greats such as ‘Stink’ -era Replacements and Naked Raygun. Formed from ex members of The Paybacks & Suicide Machines the band support Alkaline Trio, Millencolin & appear at Reading & Leeds festivals during August & September 08.
Visible Noise are pleased to bring you our latest signings, London’s BURN DOWN ROME. Their debut album, DEVOTION, is now finished and due to be released on 15th SEPTEMBER 08.
‘
The killer debut is a mixture of the aggression and urgency of At The Drive In and the intelligence of The Smiths, and sounds like a wonderful headache bursting out of your brain.
‘
Catch them playing with Cancer Bats (20th Aug The Peel Kingston), Fightstar (17th Aug Minifest 2008 Trowbridge) and We Are The Ocean (16th July London Islington Academy) over the coming months.

Swedish punk rockers Millencolin will embark on a UK tour in September 2008, in support of Machine 15 - their latest album and the first one since 2005’s Kingwood.
,
With an impressive string of six releases behind them, nearly two million records sold worldwide and sharing stages with the likes of Blink 182, the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age, the Örebro based quartet of vocalist/bassist Nikola Sarcevic, guitarists Erik Ohlsson and Mathias Färm and drummer Fredrik Larzon show with this album that they are on top of their game.
,
Machine 15, produced by Lou Giordano (Taking Back Sunday, Plain White T’s), has received rave reviews in the UK press; Kerrang called it an album full of “irresistible harmonies, crystal clear guitar and see-your-face-in-it production”, Rock Sound described it as “Chock-full of anthems, a record of great diversity”, while NME stated that ”Millencolin manage to rise above many pretenders”.
Machine 15 is out now on Burning Heart / Epitaph Records

The godfathers of New York hardcore return to the UK with their most brutal release to date, “Warriors”.
,
Recorded at the now infamous Planet Z Studios in Hadley Massachusetts by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), “Warriors” is the yet another landmark in hardcore’s history. Produced this time around by vocalist Roger Miret’s little brother, Freddy Cricien (Madball, Hazen Street), the bands message of family and unity has never come across stronger in their music. “Warriors” is a statement of strength in the face of adversity and few bands make a statement louder than AGNOSTIC FRONT.
,
This time around, they stop by the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool, which lasts four days and features four stages.
,
Agnostic Front are Roger Miret – Vocals, Vinnie Stigma – Guitar, Joseph James – Guitar , Mike Gallo – Bass, Steve Gallo – Drums.

“We’ve been nominated for best live band at this years Metal Hammer Awards. This is one award we feel we deserve and we’re thankful they’ve recognised us in this category. If you get the chance to vote for us that would be amazing.
‘
We’re also looking forward to playing both the Underage Fest in London and Boardmasters in Newquay. Fingers crossed the weather on the day will be sunny and we can all have a good time!
‘
Before all that tho we’re going to be in the studio writing and recording our next album, there’s not much we can say about it at this stage but we’re already excited with the ideas we’ve been throwing around in our practice space. Its been 3 years since we’ve really concentrated on writing some songs (Orchestra Of Wolves was originally written in 2005!) so there might be a difference in style, yet again there might not be, we’ll just have to wait and see…”

“The songs are all focused, and there are some that are very short, like bursts of anger.” Vocalist Joey Southside says, “There are straight up black metal riffs through the whole thing.” and our drummer, Pollution, is really powerful so the drums are very heavy on the punk stuff, which I personally love.”

ELYSIA are probably the youngest band currently on Ferret debut BOX OF NEED(LES) from their upcoming full-length LION OF JUDAS out on June 9th.
,

,
Vocalist Zak Vargas says of the album “The sound of the album is very offbeat and weird compared to what is going on in the scene right now, still very heavy but we played around with a lot of with the instruments, and we even threw a tambourine in the mix.”
,
Known for their excessively brutal but socially conscious hardcore/metal mix, they thrive on audience interaction and showed their viewpoints on a recent tour with This is Hell and Ruiner.
