KILL HANNAH
Up for the same award their label mates, Madina Lake picked up last year, Kill Hannah receive a well deserved nomination for BEST INTERNATIONAL NEWCOMER.  The guys were selling over 1000 tickets in London and 500 on regional show dates before we even picked them up and have an ever increasing rabid following.

Last in the UK for a storming performance at the Download Festival, the band (currently touring the USA with Inner Party System in support) are back for an extensive Autumn UK headline tour taking in 18 cities!  Previously playlisted across XFM and A-listed at Kerrang Radio, the video for the band’s current infectious single, ‘Boys & Girls‘ was recently launched on the homepage of MySpace.

MADINA LAKE

Last year Madina Lake pipped to the post the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars and Hello Goodbye for BEST INTERNATIONAL NEWCOMER.  They have had an amazing album cycle on ‘From Them, Through Us, To You’ with shows alongside Muse, Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance, several front covers of Kerrang magazine, BBC Radio 1, XFM and Kerrang Radio (A) playlists as well as spins across ILR including G-Cap’s, ‘Music Control’ and Bauer’s, ‘In Demand’.
The band are currently on Warped tour in the USA and head into the studio in September to write their muchly anticipated follow up album.

KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES

Nominated for BEST BRITISH NEWCOMER at last year’s Kerrang Awards – it’s been a pretty good 12 months for the band… only last week they were Fearne Cotton’s ‘Record of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1.  Their record,Smart Casual debuted at #29 in the UK Album Charts and NME said: ‘Smart Casual is a winning, straight up pop record….shiny and cunningly crafted”.

This year, smashing single, ‘Give Me What I Want’ is rightly nominated for BEST SINGLE.  The track which BBC Radio 1 B-listed also saw support from the likes of G-Cap’s ‘One Network’, Kerrang Radio (A-list) and XFM to name but a few.  The accompanying video was launched on the front page of MySpace and reached #1 on the viewer voted MySpace/NME Chart on MTV2.

MACHINE HEAD

The Bay Area Grammy Award nominees picked up two awards at last year’s event, with LP, ‘The Blackeningbeating off strong competition from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Enter Shikari and Fall Out Boy for BEST ALBUM.  The band also picked up a HARD ROCK HERO award.

Machine Head, who are currently on the road with Slipknot on the USA ‘Rockstar Mayhem Tour’, are aptly nominated for BEST LIVE BAND.

The awards ceremony takes place in London on August 21st in London…
